Itinerary
Depart Scotland via the M74/M6 with a comfort stop, arriving at Windermere for lunch. Afternoon around Ambleside and Bowness.
Keswick, Derwentwater, Borrowdale and Honister Pass — classic Lakeland scenery with photo stops throughout the day.
Cross the Pennines into the Yorkshire Dales, then an afternoon in the walled city of York.
Housesteads or Vindolanda along Hadrian's Wall, then Alnwick or the Northumberland coast.
Melrose Abbey, Scott's View and Peebles on the drive home.
